Our first backpack belated honeymoon trip to Austria--Day 1 & 2 (Innsbruck)

We planned our honeymoon for almost two year after we got married. We saved money, planned our trip and goggling details. Finally, we got on the plane on 5 July 2010-- a few days after we moved back to Hong Kong from US. Didn't have time to adjust time different and unpack our luaggage yet, we had to pack our backpack and got on the plane.

About 13 hours flight from Hong Kong to Austria. We took Qarta this time for the budget control. However, Qarta wasn't that bad, unless the smelly restrooms in the airport during our transferring and the in flight meals were a little bit awful. Everything were fine. Safe flight, polite and helpful audience etc.

We were waiting our giant backpacks. Mrs. Lui was excited about her first footprint on the land of Austria--the dream place of her life
~
There were airport buses outside the airport. Just opposit the exit. The fare from airport to the train station was €6 / person. Our first destination was Innsbruck, a place for crystal.

(From Vienna to Innsbruck, you have to take around 5 hours train. Remember to reserve your seat before you are getting on the train.)
After a night good rest, we started our visiting with Austrian authentic breakfast-- Wheel bread and coffee. (About € 5 for all stuff on the table)
After breakfast, we went to the tourist center and bought our Innsbruck cards. Though the card cost €25 per person per 24 hours, it's worth because you don't need to pay a penny more for the entry fee of all sights inside Innsbruck and the transportation. You can even take the cable cars for free with this card.)
We headed to the peak for a panorama view by the cable car.

The view from the cable car. The weather was bad with a dog-cat raining. We didn't get any panorama view on the peak. It was freezing also. So, we only stayed on the peak for 15 mins then went back to the city centre. What a waste!

There was a hugh frame in the city garden. A good place to take picture! The location is outside the Palace.
Austria is a "smoking country". You may see almost everyone holding a cigeratte on their hands. (This was a little dirt inside Mrs. Lui's dream place.>.<)

After lunch and a small city walk, it's time to the crystal world--Swarvoskiworld. There is a beautiful garden outside the museum. You must take a walk before leaving.
Finally, the weather became fine. This was the panorama view from the City Council building tower.

Nothing special for dinner. Some authentic Austrian cuisine in a restaurant. Didn't enjoy a lot because the poor customer services and the taste of food.
